Authority and Lordship of Christ
Jesus Christ holds all authority in heaven and on earth. He is Lord over all creation, the only mediator between God and man, and the head of the church. Every knee will ultimately bow to Him, because His authority is absolute and final.

What We Reject
(1)Carnal Christian Theory (Lordship Optional)
The Claim
A person can receive Jesus as Savior without submitting to Him as Lord. Sanctification and obedience are optional second-stage experiences, not evidence of genuine salvation.
Scripture knows no division between Savior and Lord. The same Christ who saves is the Christ who rules. Faith that does not produce obedience is not saving faith but demonic assent. The Lordship of Christ is not a second blessing but the very nature of saving union with Him.
Original Language: The Greek 'Kyrios' (G2962) 'Lord' in Romans 10:9 — 'If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved' — 'Kyrios' is the LXX translation of 'YHWH,' claiming full divine authority. 'Maranatha' (G3134) in 1 Corinthians 16:22 is Aramaic for 'Our Lord, come!' — an early confession binding Lordship to salvation. 'Mō' in Luke 6:46 — 'Why do you call Me Lord, Lord, and not do what I say?' — the double 'Kyrie' shows verbal confession without obedience is self-contradictory.
