Meticulous Sovereignty
God doesn't just rule over the big picture — He works out every single detail of everything that happens according to His will. Nothing escapes His control, from the rise and fall of nations to the smallest events in your daily life. Nothing takes God by surprise and nothing happens outside His purpose.

The Claim
God's sovereignty is broad and general, not meticulous. He does not ordain every detail of every event — some things genuinely happen outside His decree.
If even one event escapes God's decree, He is not fully sovereign. Scripture affirms that the smallest details — a sparrow's fall, a hair's numbering, a lot's casting — are all under His sovereign hand. Meticulous sovereignty is not a limitation on God's power but its fullest expression.
Original Language: The Greek 'ptaiō' (G4434) 'fall' in Matthew 10:29 — 'Not one of them will fall to the ground apart from your Father' — 'chōris' (G5565) 'apart from' means 'without the involvement of.' Even a sparrow's death is within God's active decree. 'Hētoimasia' (G2093) in Ephesians 1:11 — 'works all things according to the counsel of His will' — 'energeō' is the present participle: continuously working.
